It’s Six Sentence Sunday again! I’ve made this a regular thing so readers could get a real feel for my WIP. Soon you’ll be seeing some variety in my posts! Now I give you Six Sentence Sunday.
Six Sentence Sunday, or #sixsunday, is just what it sounds like: I post six sentences from my work on my blog. That’s it! Click on the image above if you’re interested in participating.
This week’s excerpt is from my WIP currently called STOPPING BULLETS (still awaiting a better title). My main character is a young woman, Justine, with a talent for stopping bullets and moving other things with her mind. She lives a secretive life to avoid becoming an experiment in a lab somewhere.
I’ll just pick up where I left off last week, where Justine had found out the footsteps behind her were those of a police officer.
A skinny young man ran up the sidewalk where I had just been. A taller man followed. I gasped as he passed under the light from a window.
It was Quinn. Detective Quinn Duncan.
This is hardly a finalized work, so with that in mind, feel free to comment!
